After bios update PCI slot 1 not working

have you tried using the on board graphics and seeing if it set the default display adapter to on board?
Pentium4User is right, after a Bios upgrade quite often your cmos selection default have been reset, (not always mind you) but I would boot to bios, check the Video choices and make sure the integrated video card is not set as primary
