Game Launcher (Ironically) Not launching

A game (Planetside 2) uses a launcher before to start the actual game its self. In the launcher it will update and you can validate yours files from it etc. My issue is that I double click the application shortcut on my desktop (which was working the day before) and nothing happens. I get the loading symbol on the mouse but then, nothing. Ive tried running as admin, opening directly (not a shortcut) and ive deleted the game files and redownloaded them again. Still no change however. Not sure what more I can do BAR backwup and restore windows. btw windows 10 latest update and my gpu drivers are also up to date thanks for time

No luck anywhere else (ps2 website youtube other players) and I dont belive I have the creators update

Any problems with a double click on any other shortcuts?

Delete and rebuild the Planetside 2 shortcut.

Do you have this file: UserOptions.ini file in the Planetside 2 directory.

I googled some and you may be able to create a crash log that may be capturing a problem with respect to the game, your computer, or the computer's configuration.

Creators Update:

Press the WIN key, then click the gear icon (probably lower left screen corner).

In Windows Settings click System, then About.

Creators Update is Version 1703 (Windows 10 Pro)

prior to your response I did not have a userini but I created one with a friends ini (which is working is turned into a config file) i'm on windows 1607 so not creators. I am not experiencing any other issues with any other shortcuts. im not sure how to create a crash log but I will look into it

Very good. You are narrowing things down.

E.g., if only one shortcut (Planetside) is affected then the issue is either with Planetside or some conflict between your system and the game.

Take a close look at the shortcut and the path. Manually go down through the folders and see if any errors or some other window pops up.

The objective is to get some error or other information to let you know what is happening.
