Hello everybody

I recently upgraded my specs , mobo, cpu, cooler, ram

I got the following :
Z270X-Ultra Gaming
i5 7600K
16GB
Antec Gaming 520W Bronze
GTX 1050Ti 4Gb
SSD 256 Gb
1 To HDD

I have played couple of games since the upgrade, Doom, BF1, Project Cars, Rainbow Six Siege

Do you think the GPU is holding me back?
Everything runs well for Doom, RBS, but for Project Cars and BF1 i'm far from Ultra settings

I was considering maybe selling the 1050 and go for a 1060 6Gb
What do you guys think?

Thank you in advance. !

I agree you're not going to get to ultra settings with a mid-range GFX card. However I wouldn't invest in a 1060. I would sell the 1050Ti and buy a 1070. It's like me buying the 1060. I currently use a 970 FTW from EVGA. While that would be an upgrade it wouldn't really be a significant upgrade. I will be upgrading to the 1070 or possibly the 1080 if I get the chance. Save up a little longer or get a little upgrade.

It depends, if you aim on high-ultra settings in games in 1080p, then yes.

But if you aim at low-medium (and sometimes high) settings in 1080p, then not really. 1050 Ti is not that bad and you can even OC it.

Also it depends what game you play, for light and e-sports games 1050 Ti is more than enough

But to upgrade to 1070, a new Power supply will be needed right?

I wouldn't mind playing BF1 on higher settings, as well a Wildlands

No. I can use my 500W EVGA PSU. It's rec. specs. ask for a 500W PSU. Your PSU offers that and more(obviously :D). It's not a bargain basement PSU either. If it were I would upgrade it. Now all power supply units are created equally. Your PSU's +12V rail can easily handle the 1070's needs and you have the necessary 8 pin connector. https://jet.com/product/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-1070-DirectX-12-08G-P4-5173-KR-8GB-256-Bit-GDDR5-PCI-Express-30/6a59c1f0bb064313a12ce1909258294c is one option.
