I have an 4 year old rig that is currently running a i5-3750k and Radeon 7870.

I was looking to add a GTX1070. I know that my cpu won't bottle neck the 1070 but will it cause an issue if I run both cards? The 1070 for my main and the 7870 for my second (and soon third) monitor? Or would this cause an issue? Or is it even worth it?

Thanks.

Nvidia dont allow that any more, so you cannot use a AMD Primary GPU with an Nvidia gpu doing Physx.

It should be fine, but usually it's the other way around- Someone puts an NVidia GPU in their Radeon-powered machine so they get the benefits of PhysX. It will support multiple monitors, but I'm unaware of how well it will go over. As long as their drivers play nice, it should be fine.

Well, even less of a reason to do it, then. Lol
