Hello everyone.

I have the i7-7700k and the ASUS z270e GAMING mainboard. Currently i am using windows 10 but i like windows 7 more. The problem is, when i install windows 7, the mouse is laging extremely and the whole PC crashes after a short period of time.
This happens in the menutoo, where you set up the partitions for the windows 7 installation.

Is there a way to get the PC run with windows 7?

Solution
99% compatible. Intel and MS purposely disabled a few things when not running Windows 10.

Aside from a few hiccups during installation (needing to inject or supply drivers during install), having to use USB 2.0 instead of 3.0 for the boot disk, etc. The iGPU is a little tricky, but most of the motherboard manufacturers have posted drivers and graphics drivers for Kabylake for Win 7 and 8.1 (Basically the Iris Pro graphics drivers modified a little)

Not worth the hassle though, and you never know when something might go wrong.

I'm trying to recall, but I think there was also a slight performance boost from running Kabylake on Windows 7, at least benchmark-wise. Probably less overhead from Cortana and stuff.
