Hey, I hope I've the right category. So my c: Drive is Raw because why wouldn't it be on the night I've a coursework deadline. I was hoping someone could help me by suggesting a way to recover my hard drive without launching Windows, everything I've done so far has been with a Windows installation disks Windows repair stuff,
Many thanks

If your disk became RAW, you can only pray that you can recover your data (not the Windows install) off it. If I was you, I would not rely on this computer if your deadline is tomorrow.

As for recovering data from RAW disks - there are plenty of utilities. You'll need another computer, and a way to connect the harddrive from this one onto the other PC. Once you recover your data, you will have to start from scratch installing Windows, apps etc.

If not too late, if affordable, if possible, observe the first rule of many DR specialists, usb or dvd boot Macrium Reflect or anything similar, and either clone or full image that HD onto a reliable external HD. Put that spare in a safe place and then work on the HD with the problem. You've been using Windows-based utilities and no recovery, it's time for different tools.

Thank you very much, I understand. I can use another computer to recover the drive.
Cheers!

If for any reason the HD is still being obstinate, you can try usb or dvd boot with any one of a number of drive-scanning utilities. As an absolute last resort: IF "RAW" has anything to do with "lost partition" -- then MiniTool Partition Wizard 9 or anything similar -- might help.
