About a year ago I purchased a second set of 8GB RAM (4GB x 2) for my computer that was the same as my previous set. Though I did not buy both sets at the same time, I assumed it would be fine. However, now that I'm three years into this build, I'm running into a problem where my computer will freeze up and bluescreen (always happens while I'm streaming.) I had this problem before with Gears of War 4 but it turned out that it was my anti-virus software that was causing a memory leak.
I'd like to ask for some help on figuring out if it's really my RAM configuration that is causing the BSOD. The reason that I think it's my RAM is because the BlueScreenViewer dump is showing the cause as ntoskrnl.exe, as well as hal.dll. From what I've read, a crash from ntoskrnl.exe can be caused by faulty memory. I've done all the fixes that are recommended for this BSOD from updating drivers to Memtest86 but no errors were found or problems fixed.
I've provided some information from CPU-Z that I thought was interesting. If you noticed in the SPD tab, one set of sticks is showing as Single Channel, while the other is showing as Dual Channel. Also the XMP versions are different as well as the bandwidths. Should I buy a new set of RAM that are all identical? Or is there a bigger problem I'm ignoring?
Thank you for checking out my post. (Links below for pictures)
