I'm thinking of getting a new water cooler for my future 1600x, i'm wonder if on amazon the H115i is coming with the Am4 brackets, or will I have to buy it sepretly, or should i just get the H110i instead?

Solution

If you read further it says "AMD's new socket design will be using a 90mm x 54mm mounting...
I have the Crosshair VI Hero and 1800X and had an issue with my H115i HSF mount initially.
The mounting brackets did not come with a suitable metal backplate for the offset holes in the MB. I found the only suitable backplate is the AM3 backplate like this one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motherboard-CPU-Block-Back-Plate-For-AMD-AM2-AM3-LGA940-M3-Threaded-Chrome-Metal/191967659604 I had one laying around from a previous build otherwise I would have been stuck.
Others have tried the plastic ones that don't work.

Unless you intend to OC there is no real need for the H115i which is overkill for the 1600X imo.
A suitable Air cooler would be sufficient and much cheaper and most of the mounting kits are OK with Air coolers.

OK then good luck with your build banker and order your backplate early from ebay so your not held up for a $4 backplate. Might be a good idea to check and see if Corsair H110i are now providing the correct backplate or mounting brackets to suit or if the backplate is provided by the MB manufacturer.
Some have tried alternatives utilizing cardboard packing which will cause issues so DON'T go that way.

The H110i was already able to mount on AM4 no additional parts needed...........

If you read further it says "AMD's new socket design will be using a 90mm x 54mm mounting solution instead of AMD's traditional AM3+ 96mm x 48mm mounting solution, which means that CPU coolers that screw into AMD's backplate or use their own will not be AM4 compatible' and this is what I found.

I doubt the H110i comes with the correct backplate for an AIO however check with Corsair to be 100% sure. Maybe since I got mine they have now included the correct backplate or maybe one comes with the MB. I can't dtermine who would be responsible for that.
One thing is for sure the mounting brackets as depicted are not suitable for the AM4 MBs and Corsair AIO coolers. They will be OK for the Ryzen 1600 CPUs that come with the Wraith Air coolers and some like Noctua have to order a free mounting bracket.

-1 for bad and wrong information.
Their no reason to dought it's just the facts it comes right from Corsair it fits.
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/company/press-release/corsair-is-ready-for-amd-ryzen
The following CORSAIR Hydro Series liquid CPU coolers are fully compatible with the new AM4 socket out-of-the box.
•Hydro Series H60 .
•Hydro Series H110i (Hydro Series H110i GT) .
•Hydro Series H100i .
.
The following CORSAIR Hydro Series liquid CPU coolers require an additional AM4 bracket for AMD Ryzen compatibility. Check http://www.corsair.com/ryzen for full details
•Hydro Series H50.
•Hydro Series H55.
• Hydro Series H75 .
•Hydro Series H80i v2 (H80i GT) .
•Hydro Series H90.
•Hydro Series H100i v2 (H100i GTX) .
•Hydro Series H105.
• Hydro Series H110i GTX.
• Hydro Series H115i.

Asus also makes a board that will work with any AM3 cooler.

I can do that also for spreading incomplete and misguided information zerk. I also could not care less you voting me down as that does not sway my standing in the community. In fact your constant quoting of me makes me think your paying attention. Please don't rely on a single article for all the facts and as a so called Grandmaster you should know different.

You have not built the platform and your going by an article that you have not read properly or misunderstood. I have built the platform using Crosshair VI HERO and Ryzen CPU and do know the difference.

The article dates back early February 2017 and maybe a little confusing to some and states the following:
Quote:
"Moving onto Corsair's alternative AIO mount design, which screws into AMD's AM3 motherboard backplate, will not be compatible with AMD's AM4 CPU socket.

AMD's new socket design will be using a 90mm x 54mm mounting solution instead of AMD's traditional AM3+ 96mm x 48mm mounting solution, which means that CPU coolers that screw into AMD's backplate or use their own will not be AM4 compatible.

CPU coolers using the mounting kit pictured below will require an upgrade kit in order to be fitted onto AMD's new AM4 socket". End Quote.

The article really refers to those wishing to use existing Air coolers however upgrade mounting bracket kits are being provided by certain manufacturers for free upon application.

So if you have some other proof or confirmation from Corsair that the AIO coolers will now fit the Crosshair VI HERO out of the box with the Mounting brackets supplied that will fit a PROPER BACKPLATE then you are doing a disservice to the OP. It was certainly the case with my H115i but soon rectified with the correct backplate from the AM3 platform.

I also mentioned further for the OP to check with Corsair if the AIOs now come with the correct backplate or if it may be supplied by ASUS.

No bad nor wrong information here dear.
