My system (in case) :
Motherboard : MSI 970 Gaming
CPU : AMD FX 8120 (8-Core @ OC 4.3GHz)
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Memory : Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3-1600
GPU : EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SC
SSD : Corsair Force LE (480GB)
HDD : Segate Barracuda 7200 (300GB)
HDD : Segate Barracuda 7200 (700GB)
PSU : Thermaltake TR2 600W
OS : Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)

So i was wondering since pretty much all the new AAA titles have a recommended of 16GB of ram if it would be worth spending 80$cad on an other 2x4Gb kit, if it would make any difference in gaming and since I plan on keeping this system for a year or two will it help it be more future-proof? (I play mostly FPS and AAA games).

Thanks.

Are you maxing out the memory (or using at least 7.5GB). If the answer is no then no getting more ram wont make a difference.

I would not bother spending money on ram at this time and instead put it towards the full platform upgrade that you need.
It really depends on whether you are running programs that can use more RAM than you have now. The most I've used yet is 10gb and that is when running Forza Horizon 3. You only see a performance difference if you are using more than you have and need more.
