My system (in case) :
Motherboard : MSI 970 Gaming
CPU : AMD FX 8120 (8-Core @ OC 4.3GHz)
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Memory : Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3-1600
GPU : EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SC
SSD : Corsair Force LE (480GB)
HDD : Segate Barracuda 7200 (300GB)
HDD : Segate Barracuda 7200 (700GB)
PSU : Thermaltake TR2 600W
OS : Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)

So I am thinking about upgrading my CPU to a AMD FX 8350 and since i dont want to change my mobo yet and since the 8350 is on sale at 179$cad I was wondering if it was a good idea and if it would be worth the upgrade since I will be keeping this pc for about 2 years will it help it be a bit more future-proof? (I play mostly FPS and new AAA games)

Thanks.

With ryzen still so new
time is on your side.
Let the manufactures make there revisions. In the mean time the 8350 has dropped in price. Microcenter has the 8350 for $110 with tax @ my store $119 out the door.
I bought 1 last month and it was 129+tax for my son.
Should certainly gain some in performance without backing the bank till the bugs, revisions and the market settles down.
Good luck

Is not worth it imo, you already have that FX @4.3 ghz, even if you manage to get the FX 8350 up to 5Ghz it wont be much of a difference while gaming, you better save the 179$ for a new build when the time comes, right now it is still a good pc.
