Rig:

Mobo: Gigabyte Z87x-d3h
Psu: Enermax EG701AX-VE(W)(24p)
GPU: RX 480
Ram: corsair vengeance ddr3 1600 memory (2x4gb)
CPU: i5-4670k - not overclocked
SSD: Kingston ssd (Operating system)
HDD: Wd blue hdd
OS: Windows 10
Case Zalman z11

So I've been given some new RAM by a friend. It's G.Skill 16Gb DDR3 2400 (2x8Gb) TridentX CL10 Dual-Chan Kit.

Will this be compatible with my mobo and also will I have to reset some RAM settings in the bios because of the Mhz difference?

Solution
Yes, it's compatible and you don't have to reset the BIOS coz the mobo will detect the default setting and run it unless you changed the setting for your other RAM. Check the config the RAM runs on after you plugged it to be double sure
