Game crash and unhandled expectation

Hi im following this forum from past 2-3 years and found many of my solutions here....this timr i have a question..i recently download a game which was launched in 2000 and last time i played the game on my pc running winfows xp 4 years ago.....now on my windows 7 laptop the game is crashing whenever i start the .exe and gives me msg unhandled expectation...also tried compatibilty for windows xp n ol but nothing worked...please can anyone help me....btw game title is The Settelers- Smack the Thief

You may see this error if the Microsoft .NET Framework component is not installed on your computer, or is outdated or damaged. The error can be fixed by removing and reinstalling the .NET Framework. Refer to the following article for more details:

Hey suryan thnx for your reply...
I tried repairing and fresh installation of latest .net on my laptop but it did'nt worked...again im getting the error of exe stopped working (close the program)... N i forgot to mention in my above queation that when the game crashes my screen resolution automaticly sets at 640*480
