I had my WD Passport Ultra for 3-6 months, it finally pooped out. There is 3 TB in it. It shows up in Device Manager.

I tried Initializing it but I always get an error saying it's empty.

Shows up in Command Prompt when I use diskpart but says it's empty.

Getting it too work again is enough.
I would love it if I can recover everything on there.
It had two Partitions on it, first one had 1TB, second one had 2TB.

I was going to suggest: if affordable, if possible, usb or dvd boot Macrium Reflect or anything similar, do a one-pass sector by sector clone or full image of the whole HD onto any reliable external HD. Keep the clone spare in a safe place, it might be needed later on. However, because you have a 3TB HD, I'm not sure you want to purchase and use another 3TB HD. And, it will take some time to either clone or full image it!

I'm sorry no one ever tolf you that keeping important files only on one drive was not a safe thing to fo. Always have backup copies of important files stored on other devices, even dvd's is better then no backup.

Have you tried running any software recovery utilities yet?

It's not that important. It's a bitch to get it all back. How I understand it is it's still in there but the manifest is gone. Seems like there'd be a simple solution.

I don't know. If I leave it plugged in it makes noises randomly, noises like it was unplugged, like some kind of beep. Seems probable. I've tried other USB 3.0 cables, with no visible damage.
