Hey guys,

So I've been having troubles with my custom built desktop that has sat in my parents garage for a year. When I first turned it on, it flickered a couple times then wouldn't turn on. I thought it was the power supply, so I bought a new power supply and had the same issue. I then had the power supply's tested at microcenter and they told me the motherboard was bad. So I bought a MSI 970 am3 motherboard and install that, and the computer starts up but there is no signal on the screen. So I take it back to microcenter and find out it's the graphics card. After installing the new graphics card gt710, I get picture and everything. I'm able to log into windows and then I install my motherboards drivers from the disc. After I restart the pc, it goes back to starting up but no signal on the screen. Please help!!!

Thank you

What cable do you use from your graphics card to your monitor?

I once had the same problem and using a diffrent kind of cable fixed it. (I don't remember if i used HDMI instead of Display Port or vice versa). After that i updated all drivers and the BIOS and everything worked fine.
