No games work in my PC (RX480)

Hi guys,

There is a strange problem in my PC. I have an i3-6100, RX480 8GB nad 16 gb ram. Normally I play almost every game in high-ultra without a problem. But today I'm getting DirectX or "Graphics hardware not found" problem in every game. Overwatch, CS:GO, FM 2017, Fifa 17, Battlefield 1 and all the games don't work. For example Battlefield 1 says "DirectX function FindClosestMatchingMode..", Overwatch says "No graphics hardware found.". I uninstalled the AMD graphics driver and re-installed it. I tried to re-install DirectX but it said a newer version is already installed. I formatted the PC and removed the gpu and put it back but it didn't work. In the device manager RX480 is seen by the PC. I really don't know what to do. Please help me.

First I would back everything up but then I would try running DDU in safe mode. Once it finishes your computer should reboot into regular mode. Reinstall your graphics driver and see if the problem persist. LMK how it goes.

Do you have an older GPU around to try? if so I would do that now to rule out a bad GPU/GPU failure. If you don't I might try a system restore from a date when it did work ok. If that doesn't work then things get a bit uglier...like trying a full reinstall of windows. Then if that doesn't work your looking at a tech to nail down what is wrong or replacing your GPU and seeing if that fixes it.

One more thing you could try. Reseat all your parts...GPU, ram, PSU connections...everything. See if that helps. Even try running one stick of ram at a time to rule out a bad stick. With that I am off to bed so I can't reply until tomorrow. Best of luck though.

I don't have another GPU so I can't try it. I also tried reinstalling windows and replacing the GPU. That worked yesterday but today again it's not working.
