Hi.

So I have this problem: I have GTX 1060 and every single game has low fps for me. Like Arma 3 on low settings I have 20 FPS and on High settings I have 20 FPS too... of course I tried other games and same thing. I tried to uninstall driver with DDU and then install older nvidia drivers and nothing. But there is weird think with driver.. when I installed driver 375.95 (or older), it got updated to 376.53 even without downloading anything or even telling me that it is updating..

Plz help...

My specs:
Intel i5-4690K
GTX 1060 6GB
ASUS B85-PRO GAMER
Kingston 8 GB
1TB
Win 10 PRO 64bit

Download a software called "GLviewer". It will show you more specs on your GPU. If the version of your GPU is lower than "OpenGL 2.0", It is normal to see frames like that. But if it's above "OpenGL 3.1", Then maybe the problem is in the Factory Construction.

arma is cpu intensive, you only have 8 gbs of ram and this game likes more ram

how is the cpu and gpu usage, load on them, install msi afterburner and rivatuner to see a fps and load gpu and cpu while gaming to see where is the problem here

Maybe the problem is in the GPU. But for me, The Answer is still unknown.

Wait a Minute, fizl406. Why are you running a video card with an old GPU components?
MAYBE that is the reason. Eh?

yes there is a way but as i said is not ideal

look at this

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/48277-enable-disable-driver-updates-windows-update-windows-10-a.html

i think i followed a different procedure a year ago, via a powershell script, but it disabled all updates, when i tried to enable them again, that was very fun to do :D

https://4sysops.com/archives/turn-off-automatic-updates-in-windows-10-build-9926/

another way, or the same perhaps

https://www.maketecheasier.com/disable-automatic-updates-windows10/

i would prefer just to block a specific update, not stop via registry all updates or stop the update service

Why not just use the most up to date driver? I know I have issues when I let nvidia automatically update to a newer version, I just use DDU and then manually install the latest driver and I don't have any issues. I would try completely uninstalling and then, instead of using an older driver, just go straight for a current one.

Instead of down voting my questions you could try answering them. I have not seen any performance issues reported with the 1060 and any drivers, as you have already run DDU and reinstalled various driver versions Id say its most likely something else is causing your performance issues. The driver update is most likely a coincidence.
