Right so as the title entails I've obtained this little ah heck known as the searchings virus, essentially its a virus like search engine that has latched onto my Chrome. I've tried everything to get rid of it from deleting search engines in the chrome settings to scanning my pc with over 4 different anti-virus programs all to no avail. Deleting the search engine from google itself worked for a short while but as soon as I'd restarted my pc and opened Chrome it was back. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the target for your Chrome shortcut?

You tried Malwarebytes Anti-malware? It's usually pretty good at stuff like this.

If all this stuff has failed and anti-virus programs have as well, it may be time for a HijackThis system scan. Or doing a full, fresh, reinstall of Windows, which can be a little obnoxious, but is typically quite clean.

Crap didn't realise there was a guide, sorry if i came across ignorant or anything, just stressed because my work programs are only compatible with Chrome. Zemana picked up on a script for searchings.
