Hey Guys,

I have a HP Pro 3500 and the processor which came with the system is Intel Core i3 3240. I've been using this as a light gaming PC and mainly doing college work. Originally I used a Dell Precision T5500 but it got too noisy so I packed it up into a box. So I ended up buying this on eBay for £79.99. It came with a Delta Electronics PSU 300W and I was wondering if this Power Supply needs to be replaced or not.

The Specs are:
Intel Core i3 3240 3.40 GHz 2C/4T
4GB Of DDR3 RAM Upgraded to 8GB DDR3 RAM
WD Blue 500GB Hard Drive --> Replaced with Crucial MX200 240GB SSD as Boot Drive and 1TB HGST 2.5" 5400 RPM Hard Drive for Programs and Games
AMD Radeon HD R9 360 OEM 2GB GDDR5
Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit

Thanks,

delta is the common decent enough brand they use

some describe delta as one of the best, others will describe it as good enough for office only, no gaming

with that gpu i would put a 450watts psu minimum, but that is just my opinion

Hi,
I have been looking around on Ebay and Amazon for 400 to 500 Watts Power Supplies and I have come across EVGA 430W or 500W for £34 on Amazon or Ebay, Same goes to Corsair but I don't know if it's worth going for 80 Plus or 80 Plus Bronze as I don't want to spend so much on a power supply. Power Supply Budget will be around £30-40.

Forgot to mention about the Radeon HD R9 360 2GB GDDR5 got it from Ebay brand new last month for £50 and OEM manufacture is coming from Dell. This model does not contain a 6 pin connector and it is powered off the slot. Link to the specs: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpudb/2661/radeon-r9-360-oem
