1. I have 2 hard drives with each having a windows 7 on it but i only use one. I wanted to delete windows on second hard drive and just use it for storage but never ended up doing so. Second hard drive is full of garbage and is not usable

2. Now I am just trying to move everything from hard drive to SSD but here is the problem. When I remove second hard drive to have free SATA cable for my new SSD I get "reboot and select proper boot device". When i connect my old hard drive again it works like it used to.

3. Someone told me that boot file is on old hardrive so i should just create boot file using Easy BCD software. I tried but I have no idea what I am doing so once I created that and removed my old hard drive I get " The windows configuration data file does not contain valid OS entry" and won't start windows unless I put in Windows recovery CD which i don't have and my CD-ROM is not working anyway.
4. If i choose to boot from my old hardrive I am able to boot once again. I just want to transfer everything to new SSD and dispose of an old hard drive.

You can try to format that old hard drive, just make sure that no important files are in that drive.
That way you can avoid using the SSD.

If you need the SSD, make sure the power cable and the SATA cable is plugged in well. The SSD will not boot might be because the cable is loose.
