Mounting a HDD without a drive cage?

Hello so i have a little problem on my hands. I am going to be installing a 360mm radiator in the front of my case, the Phanteks p400s Tempered Glass, and i need to take out the drive cage. Here is my case here for any clarification (https://proclockers.com/sites/default/files/Capture3_72.PNG)
What I was thinking of doing is taking out the plastic bays that the HDD actually sits in that slides into the drive cage, drilling two holes into either the side or the bottom of the front (tempered glass) side of the case, which i would mount the holder onto with screws.
The other option that i have is using like foam double-sided tape to mount it on the bottom or on the wall. The tape would not be touching the hard drive, just the plastic HDD holder. Are either of these good ideas to do, or which one is better?

Side note: Some people have mentioned to me the addable 4 HDD slots in the front of my case but i can not use them because it would block my reservoir.

Thanks :)

Ultimately, you just have to stop the HDD from vibrating. If you can secure the bracket somewhere else that'll hold it firmly, that should work just fine (albeit probably not the best look in the world drilling through the case or glass).

Again, the foam should work too, and would likely be the better idea (for both looks and anti-vibration properties) - you just have to be caution of the vibration and ensure the bracket is held firmly in place.

If the chosen radiator makes it impossible to use your chosen drives, in the chosen case....one or more parts should be changed.

Can you velcro or doublesided foam tape it (or them)?
Yes. For a 3.5" spinning drive, I wouldn't really recommend. But you can.

ANd if you do something like that...on the bottom floor of the case. So it can't fall off.

That is a good point. When building a decent rig, you shouldn't have to Jerry (Jury?) rig things to get everything installed.

Well i am planning to watercool a gtx 1070 superclocked and an i5 6600k at around 4.6-.7 ghz, and i need the most heat dissipation that i can get. Also Phanteks themselves tell you on their website for this case that you CAN install a 360mm radiator. There is a small flap that can be uninstalled of the shroud and then the hard drive cage can be removed with 4 screws, so it is supposed to come out so people can fit that size rad.

Well the thing is that the hard drive cages and the flap covering them are MEANT to be uninstalled, as said on the phanteks page for this case, and when it says that it can install a 360 rad in the front then they also say with the uninstalling of the hard drive cover and cage.

Yes, this is true.
But then you have the conundrum of no HDD mounts.

Yes i know but do you have any solutions that you would do yourself if you didn't have a drive cage?

1. Change the HDD(s) for SSD(s)
2. Find a different location for the radiator. On the top, maybe?
3. Different case
4. Smaller rad
5. Move the drive cage. (lots of DIY work)

If I was absolutely married to the idea of that size radiator, and had to use HDD's, personally I would get a different case.
I would not velcro or foam tape HDD's as a permanent solution.

If Part A precludes use of Part B...

if it has a 5.25" bay use a 3.5" converter
