Whenever I plug anything in the usb ports, ( mouse, external hdd, etc, I get the BSOD, help. If I unplug the new device, the pc boots just fine (win-7-OS) Everything works as expected, IF, I don't plug anything new in, while pc is off or running. This is a new problem for me.

Solution
set your bios to factory defaults.

if that doesnt work,

Be prepared with your driver cd from your motherboard or pre-download the usb drivers for reinstall. unplug all usb devices except keyboard and mouse. make sure the kb/mouse are connected to usb 2.0 ports, not 3.0 or SS (Sometimes Blue). uninstall ALL items under Universal Serial Bus controllers in Device Manager. then, reboot and reinstall.
