Alienware X51 re-using the CPU i7

Can you tell us what CPU is in your X51, from what I am seeing X51 models have 6th generation intel 6xxx cpus which would need a socket 1151 motherboard. If your CPU is overclockable then you would specifically want a Z serries board.

Also, FYI socket 1150 is 4th gen, 2nd/3rd gen is socket 1155.

The Alienware X51 I have is a i7 Intel. When I look it up shows LGA1150 3rd gen Intel i7.
After vigorous searching and waiting on the phone. The model I have is a LGA1155 as stated above.
