i dont really need 4TB of storage lol... the place i bought it from has the worst customer service and has no obligation to give refunds for a reason like mine.. im going to ask anyway.. its been a few days since i purchased it..

Hang on to it, your HDDs which are in use now won't last forever.
And anyway, you can use it for backups even if you already have backups. You can never have too many backups (I keep backups in triplicate on three separate HDDs) and you can never have too much storage space (backups, HDD system images etc etc.).
