Hi Everyone !

My specs :

Mobo : Asrock b75m dgs-r2
CPU : Intel i5-3570
PSU: CHIEFTEC CTG-500-80P
VGA: SAPPHIRE PULSE Radeon™ RX 570 4GD5
OS : Win 10 Enterprise N x64
Vga driver : Crimson 17.4.3

So my issue is the following:

I had an rx 470 before this card. That card had the same issue, so i bought this card today, and the same issue appeared. The card generates computer shut down, and restart, if i start a game, or run a stress test.

Any advice ?

So if the issue happened with both cards, it is likely not an issue with the cards and seems to be another component. Have you monitored temperatures to see if that could be the cause of the shutdowns?

I have seen this problem before it turned out to be leaking capacitors on the motherboard. Worked OK until the GPU stressed it. You can actually see if the electrolytic capacitors have leaked.

My capacitors are fine :)) I bought this mobo from a guy, half year ago, and he never used this. So it's a "new" mobo.

Guys, i read some tests about the rx570, and the testers full config ate 300 watts with the newest i7 what need 140 watts, and my cpu only need 77 ...my PSU has 80% efficiency, and its about 2-3 years old. So anyway it has the 300 watts. Voltages are fine too. Can sy explain why my psu not enough ?

I tried to undervolt and underclock the gpu, the result is the same. The cpu was stress tested with cpu-z. Memorys tested with memtest. Perhaps mobo bios settings ? idk....no ideas.

Up !

I tested my friend's GTS 250 card in my pc (y, i know its an old card, but this has a 150W tdp), and result was the same...after 20-30 second the pc shutted down, temperatures was okay. So mobo cant handle the rx570's large power consumption from the PCI-E or PSU's low Amper on the 12V rail. These two left i think. Yesterday i cleared the PSU, capacitors are fine, and everything fine inside the PSU. Today spoke with the sapphire support, they said this PSU could be enough. mehh. Idk. Perhaps i can test the setup with another mobo in 1-2 days.

The solution was the PSU. My Chieftec PSU had great voltages, enough performance, but that psu's rattle rate was above 120...that was the problem.. i bought a thermaltake 650w paris. No problems anymore, no restarts. Thx for the help guys !
