I'm looking to build an XP rig to play my old 90s games. I've seen a couple retailers selling refurbished towers, but I wanted to check here first for advice, etc.

Why though?
Why not just get a proper modern PC with integrated graphics and grab an emulator?

I guess that's part of it. I have never been able to get an emulator to work. But, that's would be a great solution. Any idea on what to use for a Win10 system?

all of my super old game I run is dosbox with dosshell overlay, works flawless

I currently have Unreal Tournament, Quake I, II, III, Commander Keen...all happily running on a Win 10 Pro system.
