I have a old X51 Alienware i7-3770 8gb win8 model. I learned it is a 3rd Gen CPU socket LGA1155. I want to reuse it on a new Motherboard, but I'm having trouble finding one that will work with it.
Can anyone direct me to a Motherboard that will accept the X51's CPU?
I found this one, would it work?www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004Q7JRJI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493222129&sr=8-1&refinements=p_72%3A2661618011&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=motherboard+lga+1155&dpPl=1&dpID=51XWv%2Bsc

Why do you need a new motherboard?

Won't post past Bios, just keeps restarting. Been trouble shooting it now for a month with no luck. Replaced everything, say the memory and Mobo.
I tested it's other parts in another computer, everything worked.

Any B75, Q75, Q77, H77, Z75, Z77 chipset motherboard will work out of the box. The motherboard you listed is h67 those also work but need a bios update. I can't find what version is on that board for sure so I would advice to not go with it.

I suggest you go here filter on socket LGA1155 and then filter on the chipsets. You don't need a z series board as you can't oc that cpu.

They are never coming back as the cpu has been discontinued for a while now. Best you can do is ebay.
