Hello! I am new to the community and am excited to be here after hearing good things! I have an old Lenovo H415 PC kicking around. AMD A6-3600 CPU with an AMD Radeon HD 6530D. I recently purchased an Asus Radeon R7250 and attempted to install it. The computer wouldn't boot. Thinking that I must have gotten a bad card, I sent it back and tried a second. Same situation. Reading into it a little, I discovered that the issue may be that my motherboard is BIOS and not UEFI, and Lenovo has no update for the board! Is there any hope? :??:

I don't think it's the type of bios. But first, can you install the card but still use the onboard graphics to boot into your bios? Then look in there for the graphics section, probably under 'advanced' and 'chipset'. It should show that you are currently using integrated graphics, however it should also show that a videocard has been detected in the pci-ex slot. If your card is not showing up there then that means the computer can't see it at all. Are you sure you have a power supply that can power that card?

I have a EVGA 430 W1, 80+ WHITE 430W Power Supply(100-W1-0430-KR). The card is receiving power and the fan spins. The computer never seems to get past simply powering up though. I can't even enter the BIOS to adjust anything. What is going on?
