Hello,

I have a PC with a Rosewill N600PCE WLAN adapter that's advertised for up to 300mbps. In Windows WiFi Status it says the link is 300mbps however in Speedtest I get about 17mbps down MAX using speedtest. On my iPhone I get about 117mbps down using the same server! I have aIso placed the phone RIGHT next to the antennas from the card in hopes of seeing if signal strength is the issue. I have a Comcast business router and am connected to my 5GHz wifi on both the iPhone and my computer.

The question is what do you pay for speed wise? That should be your benchmark.

Did you disable WiFi assist on your iPhone? If not it could be using your LTE connection to boost your WiFi performance.

I find it hard to believe that a WiFi card is unable to match a cell phone WiFi receiver. Normally PC ones are stronger due to more space for better antennas.

I do have wifi assist disabled and I pay for 100mbps down. I agree with your confusion. That's why I'm here because I don't understand why this is the case but I cannot figure it out. I could even take a video.
