Power Phase Question

I was looking into getting the ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 990FX motherboard. I was wondering what the power phase is on it and if it would be a good match for my AMD FX 8350.

My current motherboard is (I think) the reason I'm running into minor heat issues with my CPU (I'm currently running and ASUS m5a78l-usb3)

It's a 6+2 and is a decent match for the 8350.

Would the Sabertooth 990FX be a better match for the 8350?

Yes it would be , I own 2 of them.....8+2 power phase design.

So I just got the board in the mail and hooked it up and everything is running flawlessly! My boot times are significantly faster and my cpu stays about 10c cooler than with the old M5A78l motherboard! Definitely happy with this purchase!
