Hey guys, so in latest news my GTX 460 died.. Green flickers all over the screen and it cant make it through welcome screen on windows... and it does blue screen of death.. but that's not what i am here for. So lets start with the specs (don't want to bottleneck anything)

CPU - Intel I5-2500 3.3 GHZ 4core
GPU - NONE haha (previously i had GTX 460 by msi)
Motherboard - Gygabyte HA65M-D2H-B3
RAM - Corsair 1333 mhz 2x4 GB
PSU - Corsair CX600

So right now i am thinking about 1050 ti (X gaming edition) by Msi.

Or maybe even i should get cheaper version of 1060 OC 3GB? (or you guys would say some other brand like gygabyte?)

Also speaking of brands my gtx 460 died from overheating i believe. because i installed aftermarket cooler, because OEM cooler didn't cooled properly.

So i need a brand that would not have an issue of cooling.

And what do you guys reckon? will something else bottleneck this gpu(1050ti)?

A 1050Ti on your current processor will be fine, and a pretty good fit. And, you might even be able to get to a 1060 before a bottleneck becomes noticeable. I would get the Zotac brand of the 1050/1060, if you do, as they're usually the cheapest and are of a good quality. If you even want to have a CPU upgrade (which you didn't ask for, but I'll suggest it anyhow) I'd go for an i7 2700K. Or, if you do a whole new platoform upgrade later, get Ryzen. 3, 5 and 7 are all capable. But, to keep on track and answer your question- no, there won't be any severe or even notable bottlenecks, until you get past the 1060.

Thanks for reply. Well Zotac has smaller fans. But its clocked a bit more. And in experience from 460 i don't want any more heat issues.

To avoid heat issues, go with MSI or Asus. They're typically very good when it comes to cooling solutions, but a bit pricier than Zotac, You pay for the quality assurance (and the name).

Okay thanks, and now did some research for about a day. And i can't really decide which way to go.... Msi or ASUS.. people say asus is quite better cooled. but i really like the msi badges, colors, and i like it a bit more. but of course i need what is best and not what is just fancier...
