I have an old PC which has an i5 4670k cpu and sapphire r9 290x 4gb , with 8gb of ram and was wondering if i should sell the pc and build a new one as its been a while since i gamed , or if you guys still think that these parts are good for the current games coming out,

thanks

Old PC? Just because newer has arrived, does not make that "old". That system should run any game at desirable frame rates at 1080p still. And if anything does need upgrading, it may be the gfx card. 4GB of VRAM is just marginal today if you like to play with a lot of eye candy enabled.

The Haswell quad core CPU can easily keep up with any single-GPU card available at 1080p. If you game at higher resolutions, state what it is.
