Hot Swap Bay for Laptop-Sized Drives?

I have an empty 3.5 inch drive bay (4" across) on my desktop machine and was wondering if they make such a thing as a hot swap bay that would fit into that space, that fits laptop-size hard drives (of which I have several, collected from laptops I have owned over the years.)

Is it possible to include that bay in the bootup sequence? For example, if the machine has a Windows hard drive installed internally for use most of the time, but I want to throw a Linux drive into the hot swap bay occasionally, would I be able to boot off the Linux hot swapped drive without having to go into the BIOS or use a bootloader?

Appreciate any answers...and any links to a suitable hot swap bay for this empty 3.5" space.

Thank you!!

We've worked with the Rosewill hot swap mobile rack RX-C202 and it was OK. See...
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817997014

Newegg now shows it as "Not available" but there are similar devices shown on that webpage that may appeal to you.

Amazon shows the Rosewill at https://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-RX-C202-SATA-Trayless-Mobile/dp/B00558OPC6/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
from one seller @64.95 which seems an outrageous price for that device. We paid about $25 when we purchased it from Newegg a few years ago. It's probably been discontinued.

But there are others. Remember...Google is your friend. Do a little research.
