Bridge one Ethernet port to another

I have multiple AP's on my network all connecting to a Central AP through a wireless bridge. All AP's have their own static IP address and are on the same subnet. Each AP will have one device with a static IP address on the same network in one lan port. The other LAN port I would like to have another device with static IP address that only needs to connect to the other device on the other LAN port. It does not need to go over the rest of the network. And I would like every AP on the network to assign that device with the same IP as to not use up a lot more IP addresses. Is this possible? If so, how can it be done?

The device I would like to essentially bridge from one Ethernet port to another does not need to hit the gateway by any means. The one device on the first LAN port will need to.

Suggest that you sketch out your design (does not need to be fancy) including all devices and the static IP addresses you envision being assigned based on your router, computers, printers, etc. as well as the APs.

Would be very helpful if you note the make and model of your devices as well.

Posting your design will go a long ways towards seeing what you have in mind. Just keep the diagram simple and neat.

Look for network images on line if you feel the need to see some examples.

It is going to depend if the AP you are using has any other features. The vast majority of AP are really simple devices. They pretty much connect wireless devices to the ethernet. Many do not even have mulitple ethernet ports.

So it is going to depend on the model of your devices or you are going to have be willing to replace all the equipment. What you are looking for is more a function of a firewall or maybe a router.
