A friend gave me an old Acer Aspire X3590 and I put in shape to use it as a MediaPC. Evrething works but the pc is not transfering hd audio fron the hdmi output only PCM works when set to 5.1 in HD Audio manager. Actually the hdmi output is not shown in the hd audio manager settings. Ive read that the realtek audio chip used in the motherboards is more than capable of passing hd audio through the hdmi output. Any advice fro the experts?
