Ok so My current monitor -
Fujitsu L20T-1 20inch 60Hz 1600x900
I have the gtx 1050ti installed and i am using a hdmi to vga convertor because my monitor only has a vga slot ..
The problem is that the display is fine .. but when i start a game and play it .. in between sometimes the screen goes black and it shows no signal and turns off ..sometimes when i again plug in the hdmi it works back ..but the issue happens .. happens only in terms of games .. not regular windows ..
The catch is that when i connect my 55 inch tv via hdmi it works perfectly no issues .. so the issue isnt in my gfx

Can it be a faulty convertor or my monitor?
my monitor worked flawlessly till the past week i had r7 250x and never faced any issue ..

Solution
The cables 10tacle has linked are of no use whatsoever for a 1050ti which (as Pete_101 says) has no native analog signal.

You plainly have an active adapter at the minute or you wouldn't be getting a display at all on your monitor.

Point us to a link of the actual adapter you're using.

I did a complete windows 10 reinstall to the latesst version .. formatted my entire HDD so cant be that issue ..

Okay so now that's out of the way, I'd try a complete cable change, like buying one that's DVI or HDMI out to VGA in. Adapters sometimes can give problems. Here are two examples:

Are you sure that game resolution and monitor resolution (from windows) are the same? Try playing like that and give us update. Before you change cables as mentioned above.

^^ That's a good thought I didn't even think about. I assume everyone is running same/same on desktop and in game.

Well not all of us do. Seen many times, especially here in my country, where IT or Gaming knowledge is very low.

Nvidia drivers up to date ..
i5 4440
gtx 1050ti
4gb ddr3 ram ..
i tried playing a game with my 55 inch tv with hdmi-hdmi and it worked perfectly ! @1080p 60hz

The hdmi to vga adaptor, is this an active converter? It would have to be right, as hdmi has no analogue component to it, which is needed for vga. The non active vga to hdmi cables are for when your graphics card can output digital though the vga port for a digital monitor. Anyway, could it be your convertor can't handle gaming graphics?
