Solution
You should be using AMD overdrive to monitor your processor temps.
I would also recommend MSI Afterburner to monitor GPU temps.

Post results when you get the chance.

I had a minor WTF moment upon seeing 460...looked it up, Radeon, whew, not super-outdated nVidia. Anyways.

Grab a monitoring program like CPUID's HWMonitor, run it while your game is going, and watch the temperature readouts for your CPU and graphics card. If the CPU goes over 85 or the GPU goes over 95, your computer could be throttling itself back to prevent heat damage.

Like Gam3r01 said, you might want to upgrade your CPU cooler. AMD processors almost always run far hotter than equivalent Intel ones; I opted for a 240mm liquid cooler on my build even though I had (and still have) no plans to overclock. I did run with the stock cooler (pre-Wraith, my poor ears) for about a week while I waited for the liquid system to arrive, and I watched my CPU temp hang out right around 80-85 under load. With the liquid cooling system it tends to stick at 70. Still a bit on the high side, but far better than holding at 85!
