I only had enough money to buy 1 pair of Corsair RAM CMU16GX4M2C3000C15. I wanted to buy another pair of the same to have 32gb total. The QVL lists both my current 1 pair and 2 pair CMU32GX4M4C3000C15 as compatible. Can I just buy another pair of my current RAM to make 32? or are there differences in the 1 pair and 2 pairs being sold? The specs for both have the same timing, voltage and RAM speed. Thanks for any help.

On today's Ryzen boards there may be some minor issues. But I doubt you'll have any unless you plan on OC'ing the RAM. AMD's AGESA code seems to be a bit of a problem yet. The QVL for that board shows that RAM has been validated for use in 2 slots, but not for 4 slots. Whether that means it wasn't tested or it failed, I don't know. So, I see your concern. I think if it were me and the RAM was returnable, I'd go for it.

Btw, nice board. I was looking at the Prime 350 board for a new build along with a 1600X. I'm having the same trouble trying to find solid sets of RAM for all 4 slots that are QVL approved and faster than the base 2133MHz.
