i do no recomend a wifi card this days for a gaming machine, more soon than later you will need to put a ethernet cable to play properly

exact same thing? to what? to ethernet?

no, it is not the same thing, the more far you are form the router, the worse the connection gets

for gaming it means that you can get kicked for bad ping or for connection problems
