I have a brand new pc with mobo Asus z270 XI formula, it has an on board sound card: supremefx.
Recently I bought a new headset Sennheiser game one and Iv'e been experiencing weird static/robotic sounds when recording while playing games. It seems to happened only when there is loud bass sounds like explosions,overall the mic sounds amazing and the headset too.
The weird thing is that it happeneds only while I play FPS games. Iv'e read about GPU whine coil and tried to check if my GPU (Galax GTX 1060) makes noise and it doesn't. Tried plugging to front jacks and it didn't help. So basically I read a lot about the subject and some people say I should try an external USB sound card since it isolates the analog interference, the only problem is that Asus states that my onboard sound card is considered to be very good, I wouldn't want to throw money away by buying a worse external card than my internal...
