Im looking into upgrading my current cpu, FX-8320, to a much better cpu.
I know the AMD Ryzen cpus came out, but i dont know much about them.
I was thinking about getting the i7 since its currently 150$ off on ebay, and for a little while. from $550 - $400 CDN.
But idk if i should wait still. I wouldnt mind buying something that would last me another 3-4 years.

All im going to be doing is mainly gaming, so what ever hooks me up with the most fps.

Msi GeForce GTX 970
AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core Proccesor 3.5 GHz
16gb DRR3 Ram (2x4gb +1x8gb --- 3 sticks)
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R5 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
850W ULTRA Power Supply
1TB WD HDD
250GB SSD
ThermalTake Commander MS-I PC Case

Solution
most fps should be i7 7700k or you can keep AMD going with ryzen and get r7 1700 and oc it. if money is not an issue ryzen 1800X (overkill and not as good as the i7 for gaming only) , but right now in most benchmarks i7 7700k get the most fps in just gaming. ryzen would be better for streaming and video editing etc...

at the moment for just gaming nothing is better than that.
