why does Nvidia shadowplay not record the fps?

hi i want to record the FPS in my games, i see the FPS myself and the recording comes out fine but in the recording there is no FPS showing why not? am i doing something wrong or haven't they thought of this simple idea yet?

You have to use MSI Afterburner if you want FPS showing in a recording. I believe this roots from the big blowup from the original Riva Tuner programmer (Unwinder) and Nvidia's Precision X tool from a few years ago. I use Shadowplay for recording but keep Afterburner on for the OSD with the Shadowplay FPS counter off. FYI the Riva Tuner programmer now is a part of Afterburner.
