CPU:Xeon x5460
GPU:R9 280x
Mobo:gigabyte ga-p35-ds4
RAM:4x2GB(or should i go for 2x4gb?)
HDD:Some 7.2K idk correctly...
FANS:3X120mm
PSU:?

Since r9 280x needs 2x8pin,can i somehow buy psu with 1x8pin and 1x6pin and use it with this gpu?maybe with some adapter ?

Is this PSU enough(its only 550w):http://www.bequiet.com/de/powersupply/292 /it has 2x8pin but its 550w

or:http://www.lc-power.com/en/product/netzteile/standard/lc600h-12-v231/ /600w 1x8pin+1x6pin (if i can i would rather buy this cuz im or strict budget,if i can)
Also:http://www.lc-power.com/en/product/netzteile/green-power/lc6650gp3-v23/ /650w but has 1x8pin and 1x6pin?

Solution

Hi - Normally a 550w unit with 2 pcie 8pins would be fine. However, this BeQuiet unit has only a
+12v max load of 36amps despite having 4 18amp rails. So, I would not recommend this unit
even tho you could probably get by with it. Your power hungry components (CPU, GPU, HDD) all use +12v.
A system with an R9 280x needs at least 30 +12v amps avail. So, if you are really tight against your budget
you can go with the 550 BeQuiet, even tho the 2nd LC power is preferable.

The 1st LC Power unit doesn't list the +12v max load and I would not recommend if you intend to
do any gaming at all.

I would recommend you go with the 2nd LC Power unit as it has more than 45 +12v amps available. You will need
to purchase a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter tho. See Below. They are not expensive. You should be able to find one
where you are purch your PSU.

Ram - go for 2x4g

What country and what's your budget for HDD?

Code:

aha...so im looking for psu with 40+amps on 12v rails right? :)
yeah,hdd is not a problem
i have spare on 160GB with no bad sectors,im just curious about psu.
Its because i have this confusion of mine that if i calculate that system will use 620w of power,i need to buy 650w right,or more?
I didnt know that 550w will work fine..
i will search for some good psu and can i contact you if i need help determinating which is good one? :)
Its Serbia, and good PSU costs tons of money, atleast for me since im student and building this for my younger brother

///////////////////reupload////////////////////

so i compared every single psu that i could find on market in serbia and i found this:

1.Corsair VX550w
-8pin pci-e
-6pin pci-e
-12v/41A

2.LC Power LC6650GP3 V2.3(from above)
-8pin pci-e
-6pin pci-e
-12v/ here i get confused...
lc has +12v1 and +12v2
25A 27A
is that = 52Amps on 12v for LC?
which psu from these two is better? And is 550w/650w enough for my build?
Thank you so much!

check this one if you can:
https://www.itsmart.gr/product_info.php?products_id=2499&language=en // https://www.kupujemprodajem.com/big-photo-45042970-2.htm
i think its crappy
but it says:
3v@28a/ 12v1 12v2 12v3 12v4 all at 20a(this is good or bad,again,i dont uderstand this) / -12@0.8a and 5v@3a

and how about this one?
http://www.lc-power.com/en/product/netzteile/pro-line-serie/lc7600-v23-x-type/
im sorry for making all these silly questions

Hi again - Don't actually need 40 +12v amps, just greater than 30.
There's no way your system uses 620 watts. Your 2 most power hungry components,
the CPU & GPU use a max combined of 320watts. Fans are less than 5w each, hdd 10 -15w.

So, a 550w unit is more than enough as long as it has at least 30 +12v amps available, preferably a little
more.

Don't get the T Smart unit, they don't list the max +12v (max combined is always less than the individual
rails added together), which could spell trouble, and it's a brand I've never heard of.

The last lc power unit you linked has max 34 +12v amps combined, so it will power your system.

The combined max +12v on #2 above is 45+, not 52 as the individual rails would suggest.

The Corsair VX is an old discontinued model, mfg 2007, but it was good quality, and would power your system.

If your budget permits, the lc power 650 would still be the 1st choice, then either the VX 550 or the
LC 7600 3rd.

hey again :D

so i was busy some time
and now i found this
http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/vs-seriestm-vs650-650-watt...
what do u think about it? :) is it better that the rest of psu that i listed up :D

Hi again - The Corsair VS series is the bottom of their line. While it has enough power for
your system, I wouldn't use it in a system in which you were going to do anything more
than casual gaming. I personally wouldn't use it.
