GTX 1080ti question

Hi everyone I am picking up a GTX 1080ti within the next couple of weeks, going with the EVGA aftermarket as they have never let me down in the past in terms of quality. Looking at both of these cards (see below) there is a nice price difference for the triple fan and I was wondering if this would really account for any lower temperatures ( I am assuming this is why its more expensive) as to justify the increase in price.

I would appreciate any info.

The FTW card has only slightly higher base and boost clocks. However, the three-fan cooler versus two-fan cooler, two BIOS chips of the FTW versus one BIOS chip, and the FTW's 10+2 power phases versus 7+2 power phases means it will overclock better. It's worth the money difference IMO at this price level.

With that said, good luck getting the FTW from NewEgg right now. It's sold out. Get on their auto-notify if you want one and prepare to jump on it immediately when you get the email notification it's back in stock (been there, done that for several hot selling EVGA GPUs over the years..they go quick).
