I just built my computer and going through updates for everything I updated some drivers through MSI Live Updates 6, including some USB 3.0 update. After installation, it asked me to restart my computer, so I did. Now, after restarting, none of my USB ports work when windows starts up. I can't access anything from the windows home screen, even booting up in safe mode doesn't help. So I'm also typing this from my phone.

The motherboard I am using is the MSI B150M MORTAR Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

Any suggestions?

Solution
uninstall every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers hardware category in Device Manager as part of the driver.
This includes any USB Mass Storage Device, USB Host Controller, and USB Root Hub.

Reinstall with the correct drivers from the manufactor site for your OS

Use a PS2 mouse/keyboard, Connect a USB header to an extra 2.0 port and utilize it if you need to.

System restore if all else fails.

I would recommend DriverBooster4, a program I use frequently due to it actually being a legitimate free to use driver fixing software. It will scan and fix most, if not all, of your drivers without needing a registration or anything.
