Ryzen vs. Kaby Lake Build HELP

I want a second opinion before I start ordering and I'm at a standstill between 2 builds I'm thinking of making.

Ryzen Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HvC9QV

Kaby Lake Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WqZ7qk

They are basically the same thing just swapped gpu and cpu.

I'm looking to overclock a bit and wonder which of these will be a solid build for 1080p max settings gaming. My budget is about 1300-1400. I'm not sure if the Psu is overkill and if I should just get a 650w instead. Please no liquid coolers I don't trust myself/feel comfortable using them for my second build just yet.

Feel free to add any changes to the build since I don't know much of what will be good for the future and still be a solid build?

Thank you and cheers fellow builders.

I trimmed some fat, and picked better things in some areas to my own taste. I left the case you picked because that is your personal taste. Budget is LOWER! Resolution is HIGHER! You can raise CPU to more cores if you think you will actually use them (if you do things other than just gaming). Dropping that silly WIFI card got you a WAY better motherboard :D

very good for Overclocking, even though I don't know real performance for scythe mugen 5 air cooler, but it has good reputation reverence.
for mother board I believe that will be the best buy you can get for price/performance.
the rest of the parts is your choices.

So I changed it up a bit and decided to reuse my cryorig h5 Universal and Seagate 1tb (so subtract 100 from the build today) so will this be good? Should I step down to a 1080p monitor? or could I game at 1440p at 60?
