Hello everyone!

I know it sounds silly, but hear me out.

I have a 1440p monitor, so my 1060 already struggles sometimes.
The MSI Gtx 1070 ARMOR 8G OC costs £350. If I can sell my 1060 on ebay for around 230 I only have to pay 130.

The Card WON'T be bottlenecked, I'm running an I7 7770K along with 16GB DDR4, the only thing I might have to change is my power supply because it might not have an 8-pin (I have to check).

I need your advice.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from Faith97 : "Can this power supply support my gtx 1070?[w/ Pictures]"

Hello everyone!

Currently I own a gtx 1060, but soon I am going to sell it and buy a 1070 instead, but I'm not sure if my power supply has an 8-pin pci-e. I know it sounds silly, forgive me for my stupid question.
My 1060 uses a 6-pin, but the 1070 requires an 8 pin.

The 6-pin has another cable coming out of it which I suppose you can connect together so it becomes an 8 pin, but it feels like you need to really force it and there is no way to join them together like my cpu's cable.

I just wanted to make sure it's an 8-pin, and I won't purchase the 1070 for no reason when I can't afford a new power supply.

Sorry for english, hope you understand my issue.

It will work but I will advice you to upgrade it in the near future as it's a low quality unit.

If this stupid site gets fixed I will happily put it in a seperate thread, because it wasn't me it was the site.
I started a new thread, I went back to it and it was 404, so I started a new one, it was 404 again and as I can see it got merged. I'm a long time member I don't understand why it happened.
