Nvidia Control Panel Dissappeared -SOLVED

Ever since I installed the latest Nvidia driver (381.89 - WHQL), the NCP has been missing from the context-sensitive menu when I right-click on the desktop. Nor is it in the lower right corner of the task bar (TRAY). Any idea of why? Or how to get it back short of trying a clean driver install?

Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization>Nvidia Control Panel to access it without desktop shortcut

I know the NCP is available in Win CP. But when I click on it, nothing happens. It's like it isn't installed. Even going to the Nvidia Corp/Control Panel Client folder and clicking on it does nothing.

The problem somehow corrected itself. After several reboots, the NCP is now back again. ?????
