for some reason i CANNOT get my xmp profile to allow my DDR4 3200 to run at full cap. When it does work it downclocks my cpu to 800mhz and it stays there. i run games no boots no nothing. So i finally got the thing to work at my 4.8oc with the memory at 3000. anyone else having issues with this?

i5 7600k (4.8oc/Air)
Corsair Vengeance 3200 DDR4
ASUS Z270G motherboard

Solution
You have OC RAM therefore your XMP is not recognized. Reason is, your i5 7600K officially supports DDR4-2133/2400Mhz and 3200MHz is not the JDEC standard.
Some i5 CPUs scale well but would require Bios Tweaking for Latency primary timings and voltage in Bios. This can be frustrating if you don't have Bios experience and then there is no guarantee.
I can only recommend you return them for a 2400MHz kit that has been listed on the MB QVL.

Rise the VCCIO Voltage, you should notice what are the requirements for such speeds, my RAM kit is certified at 2133mhz and 9-11-11-31-2T with memory controller running at 1.10V,. This setting was by default at 1.05v and my system just kept rebooting until i fixed it.

to any of those having the same issue, i paid attention to how i got it to work. Set the BIOS to the 5ghz OC profile, head back and change to the XMP, sync all cores to 48 bam done...
