PLEASE READ EVERYTHING

I built a new pc and everything was working fine till after two weeks of using it. I started tinkering with msi afterburner and maxed out all settings on my gpu including the power limit. Ever since then my pc has not stopped freezing.

Build-
I5 7600k
Gammax 400
16 gb g.skill ripjaws v
Samsumg 960 m.2 250 gb nvme ssd
Gigabyte GA-Z270P-D3
Corsair cx 750 m
Msi 1080 gaming x

At the time i was using an evga 450 w psu. I wasn't really thinking much when i tried over clocking on this 450 psu KNOWING the 1080 minimum is 500W. I thought the freezing was occuring to not enough voltage being supplied to the system so i went out and bought the cx750m.

After i plugged everything in i tried turning on my pc and resetting but keeping my files. After complete reset I ran cinebench cpu test to see if my cpu was stable. It worked but froze on the open gl test for my gpu. I rebooted the system, updated drivers and tried again. This time it worked. I tried testing with furmax aswell and it also worked. But whenever i tried opening player unknown battle grounds my pc would freeze. Yet i tried with rocket league and was able to play normally?????

My pc freezes at random times when im browsing even if its not graphic intensive. I checked to see if it was my gpu causing the problem and decided to remove everying in my pc. After re inserting everything i left the gpu out to see if my system would work. I stressed tested using prime95 and after barely 5 min my pc would blue screen and freeze up.

I have tried several times to reset the cmos and reset bios so i have stock clocks and defaults all round. Yet my pc still froze and failed prime 95 again. I have ran memtest, chkdsk, sfc/scannow, and also re-adjusted my storage vram. Still my pc would freeze and fail.

I have tried ddu and installing new drivers and the problem persists. So then i decided to just wipe my whole pc and try again. I plugged in a usb with windows 10 install, and deleted everything on my ssd. While installing windows my pc froze and keeps freezing everytime i turn it on.

At first i thought it was a voltage issue. Then possibly a driver issue. Then my refurbished gtx 1080, but after i took it out and noticed my system is still crap i am now starting to think it might be my motherboard.

ANY HELP,  TIPS,  IDEAS AND THOUGHTS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Hello... can you access/type Msconfig screen?
1) look under "services" and check mark 'hide all Microsoft services"
do you see the MSI app listed there?
2) look under "startup" do you see the MSI app listed there?

another "test" option would be to enter your BIO's and 'peripherals" disable your ext Pcie" and enable your CPU/IGT... allocate some system memory (save&exit)... power down and remove your GPU, connect your Monitor to your MB video connections and re-boot. How does the basic OS perform/function without using the Msi 1080 GPU?

Hello... 4) Can you re-wipe and install windows just using your CPU/IGT...remove the Msi 1080 gaming x for the next attempt. B / also remove your internet cable from the computer while doing this... too avoid any internet triggered apps.

5) I have seen/read here a problem of shipped BIO's versions with 200 series MB's and certain CPU's... can you read your BIO's version in the BIO's screen and check Gigabytes website for the version required for your CPU model? B /
