Can I overclock these guys? If I can how far can I boost it without harming them? (I use MSI Afterburner)

Solution
The GTX 1060 models overclock like champs, even the 3GB models overclock well.
Well, you can't overclock your cpu, it's a locked one. Unless you get a Z170 or Z270 board and download a new bios from somewhere (Greg teaches how to overclock locked CPUs on his YouTube channel , Salazar Studio).

The GTX 1060 however, can be overclocked really well. However, the overclocking headroom might differ between models, but most of them do quite well.

Not all cards of the exact variant overclock exactly the same, though. You'll have to get lucky with whether you got one that overclocks well.
So when you want to overclock, you should get some kind of stress testing software (for eg furmark, MSI kombustor, Heaven) along with afterburner as later...

When you overclock, push the clock speed by increments of something small like 20, and everytime you change something, run a game benchmark. If it's stable, then your overclock is a success. If it crashes, then dial the clock speed down or turn up the power limit or temp limit. If you want to get the most potential out of your card, make sure to crank up the fan speed to max as well.

Do take note that with overclocking your mileage may vary, meaning that the lifespan of your video card might decrease. It will still last pretty Long tho, and I haven't really heard of video cards dying from overclocking them too much.

good luck! xd
